Happy Customer

I love how car stores always have free popcorn and coffee to enjoy while they service your car. It just goes to show you they are 100% customer oriented. I wandered around their showroom and got to talking to a couple of the sales guys. Just your everyday banter (how bout this weather?, you catch the score of the game last night?) that sort of stuff. Nothing was forced on me or pushed to make a sale. Just friendly, approachable and genuine people. I will absolutely come back to Newberg Ford in the future. Wether it's to buy a new car or just to say hi. Thank you again Newberg Ford For Being a Local Loyal car dealership i can depend on.

Satisfied Ford Owner

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We have been in the Ford family for years now and purchased our first Ford vehicle from Skyline Ford down in Salem. Since then we have had the liberty of owning many new Ford Vehicles. This was the first time we have bought a car from Newberg Ford and let me tell you that everyone and everything was spectacular. All of the sales staff went above and beyond to make our visit an enjoyable and worthy one. We will be back again and would recommend them to anyone in the market for a new or used car or even just to get your car serviced in their shop. Thanks Again Newberg Ford!!!

Newberg Ford Worst Service Department I have ever been too!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Worst Service Department Ever!! I have been taking my car here for about two years. The service Manager Mike Jones is the Worst person ever! I take my car in for Repairs and their Head Mechanic Jim keeps screwing things up on my car and then they say its not their fault. I filed a complaint against them and then they cough up a settlement. So I give them another chance and they do the same thing again and again. They never admit fault or say they are sorry. They don't care about Customer Service they are rude or totally ignore me when I come in. I only go there because they are in the Town I live in. But I will never go there again. Their Mechanics are incompetent and their Service Manage only sticks up for their Impcompetence and is scared to say anything to discipline them. I am surprised this operation stays in business. They have cost me thousands in repairs after they supposedly have done the work. BEAWARE and STAY AWAY!!

Review - Newberg Ford was actually GREAT!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I was shopping for a truck I went to a couple dealerships and was wanting to just look and see what I liked but kept getting hounded by sales reps. I did not get anytime to look with out someone in my ear trying to sale me when I was mainly just getting an idea of what I wanted. I could not handle it but I decided to stop at one more dealership cause I saw a truck on the display that I liked. It was at Newberg Ford so I prepared myself for another round of looking while being annoyed by sales people. I made my way to the dealership and had read some Newberg Ford reviews and had an idea of what to expect. I parked and thought right away someone would be hounding me. That was not the case. The Newberg Ford dealership people were actually VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. I was astonished by this surprise and did not expect this. They allowed me to look at my own pace without any pressure and if I had questions were close enough to get there attention but far enough to let me be comfortable. This is how, I feel, a dealership should be. I spent a good hour looking at different trucks and even a couple cars and it was the most pleasant experience I have had at a dealership. The Newberg Ford reveiws that I have seen did not line up with what I was seeing. They didn't make shopping for a car a pain the back. So when I got done looking I told the guy at the Newberg Ford dealership I needed a day or so to think about it and he said not a problem and to give him a call in a a day or 2. No pushing and no wise crack comments. This made me know I wanted to get a vehicle from them. I went home and made sure one more time of a vehicle I for sure wanted after seeing them in person. 2 days later I went back to the Ford dealership and again they were very polite and professional. I told them I wanted to do a couple test drives. They allowed me to do test drives on the 2 Trucks I was deciding between and were able to answer all my questions about the trucks when I had them. From the reviews of each truck I found online I had questions about real specifics on them and the guy that rode with me from Newberg Ford was able to answer them all. We got back to the dealership and told him which one I wanted and from there the pricing they were strait forward from doing my pricing research online it was very competitive to the market and I did not even have to go back and forth with pricing, which was a huge relief. They detailed it perfectly and it only took a couple hours after test driving to be done. This was a great experience. I would highly recommend Newberg Ford. I do not ever write reviews but I felt with the reviews I had seen that I needed to let others know that Newberg Ford is a great dealership full of great people.

Resolved: Newberg Ford - Clutch Installation Review from Newberg, Oregon

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Nov 21, 2014

I filed a Complaint with the BBB and its gets reported to the Dealer.

And they called me and we worked out a settlement.

Updated by user Oct 19, 2014

With labor Cost It will be over $1200 in cost

They did give me a check for $250 but they still said they hadn't caused the problem.

But I am still out about $900 dollars for a clutch the had low mileage on it and was working fine before they removed it and reinstall it incorrectly!

Updated by user Oct 18, 2014

It would be nice if they would at least pay for the labor of a throw out bearing replacement since whoever put my clutch back together messed up and didnt tighten the pressure plates bolts tongue them either or grease anything. Costing me over $800 additional in repairs.

Original review Oct 18, 2014
I had a new motor installed by Newberg Ford and I had a clutch installed with about 3500 miles it p. When I got the car back the clutch didnt feel right. I told them abd they said nothing about it. As I put miles in the car it got worse I took it back again and they still wouldn't do anything about it. I drove it on one more drive and now it was squealing loudly and was getting hard to shift. They Said was probably already bad but it worked fine before they touched it. I had a mechanic pull it apart the throw out bearing was shot no grease on any moving parts and two of the bolts that hold the pressure plate on were loose which makes the contact with the throwout bearing crooked which is what made It we a out and not engage scharbonneau

I was treated Extremely Rudely by the "Sales Manager" on Game Day

I had to drive to McMinnville from Oregon City to do something yesterday. On the way home, while passing through Newberg, I stopped at Newberg Ford to see what they had in new Diesel Pickups. My 2000 Ford Excursion V-10 has 169,000 miles on it and despite still running and looking good, I'm considering replacing it with a new Ford F-350 diesel to tow my 26' toy hauler trailer. I walked into the showroom and there was one fellow sitting on the couch in front of the large, H.D. flat screen TV as the Green Bay vs 49'ers football game was about to begin. I made a few comments about the cold temps there and the guy sitting on the couch with, I assume his son, asked me if I was going to give a play-by-play narrative during the entire game. I said, no, I would be leaving soon. He flat out told me to get out now. (!) I asked who he thought he was and he gave me his business card that said he was the Sales Manager, a Mr. Brad Wallrich. I said, OK, I'll leave and I won't come back. He said, "Good Riddance". He must have assumed the dealer showroom was his private living room or something. I'm a disabled retired U.S. Navy Veteran and I certainly don't appreciate being treated that way by some goof. You bet your stars I won't ever come back to Newberg Ford! I filed a complaint with Ford Corporate, too.

When you end up buying a Dodge or GM pickup, send a copy of the paperwork to the Regional Ford office.

Why do I always feel like I'm being Lied to?

I live in Newberg. I can almost see Newberg Ford from my house. I bought a new Ford (from a different dealer)just before I moved to Newberg, and was kind of happy about having a deal right in town. Long story short, the vehicles' had about $10K worth of warrenty work done on it in the last 5 years. I took it to Newberg Ford for service the first couple of times it had problems. Not only could they not fix the problem (which I can kind of understand sometimes with complicated issues), but everyone I talked to that was invloved (from the service manager to the technician)always had a different story about what was wrong and what was fixed. There were times when I would be told over the phone that the problem is "x" and that they replaced some parts, and then go and pick it up and get a work order receipt that described a completely different problem and that they replaced completely different parts. The problems never did get fixed and I never felt like I was being told the truth. After a couple rounds of that I had to take my business elsewhere. At the end of the day, what it really comes down to, is that I could push my Ford from my driveway to Newberg Ford, but I have to take it to an out of town dealer so that I can actually get my vehicle fixed and trust what I'm being told.

Really, really....I have a fleet of 52 trucks and vans, and have had them service for 6 years at Newberg Ford. My experience is nothing short of great, as they always fix our concerns, keep me informed of any changes to the quote, and the service personel are a pleasure to deal with.

I hate making post on these websites, as I find them a haven for those in life without moral backbone, but I had to refute this obvious attempt at a smear. Grow a life, man up, and take your issues up with a human, not a machine to hide beyond.

NEWBERG FORD RIP-OFF!!

I have today had my 3rd and final horrible experience with Newberg Ford. My sister works there in finance so I thought that I would receive some fair treatment. I went there to see if they would give me a wholesale deal on a car they had, like they have done in the past with my sister for another family member. They worked really hard to convince me that the wholesale price on the car was 5950.00 over what KBB was showing me. The salesman called it, "A hair above wholesale". When I challenged the salesman on the size of this, "hair", he hung up on me right away. I called back and ask for the "Highest Manager there" and Bill, the gentleman that answered the phone said, "Highest Manager here huh?" with a hardy laugh. And placed me on hold. Now please keep in mind the reason for calling a manager was to issue a complaint about being hung up on. Brad, (The sales manager and local tough guy) got on the phone and I was telling him about the salesman hanging up on me, he said that he knew that because the fellow was in his office when he did it. I couldn't believe it. I began to debate the issue of the price and the way I was being treated with him and first he told me, "I don't want your business" and instantly followed up with, "Come on down and we can talk about this in person" Sounded threatening to me. And repeated this threat more than once. Then HE hung up on me as well. This was unreal to me. I got very angry that I was being treated like this by someone my sister works for that I faxed him back and told him that I thought he was a "***" (thinking to myself) 'Threatening a person with a bad heart and cirrhosis of the liver, a real tough guy there'. That all said, I hope that this will prove to be a warning to all of us who live in town, you go to the country for a deal, they treat you like city people. Well folks, when they offer you that freshly grilled hot dog, whatever you do, don't give 'em the bun. As a footnote; I have had the VIN# on the very automobile Newberg Ford has for KBB values by a Chrysler dealer today, (Where I got an excellent deal and treated with respect). And he gave me the paperwork to prove that the sales manager Brad at Newberg Ford had manipulated the options to inflate the price. I recommend if you do roll the dice with these rip-offs you get the VIN#. And if they will let you make a phone call without them listening in (these salesman like to snoop) call the MANUFACTURER and you will find out the true options and pricing on the car, the other dealer has nothing to lose and will be glad to help you protect yourself. I have also been told by a Ford dealership owner how to file a complaint with Ford Motor Company, he said he does not like the negative correlation within the Ford Family that this type of business practice creates. Thanks for reading my rant and stay away from these guys, it’s just not worth it.

Ahhh, Newberg Ford.. I believe their motto is "We just work harder for you" I'm pretty sure that is what they say... WOW, could that be far from the truth! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

First of all John "Scam/stuck up" Kerekanich is by far the worst owner of all time. He is not worried about the customer at all, he wants to make a fast buck and that is what he teaches his floor sales people who he hires. If you he finds out your company or you has more money then what you are saying he will swarm you like sharks to blood. Stay away from him and his fake tan.

The sales team. Correction, the sales monkeys who work there are by far the most sleaziest of them all, but they do get that from the owner. When you drive into the dealership the first thing that will happen is you will see about 6 heads pop up from their computers and will start walking around waiting for you to park. Once you park, you are nothing more then a fish about to be eaten, the smell of cheap cologne and cigarettes fills your nose once they get near you. So beware of the smell once they come up to you. They don't listen to you either, they pressure you worse then most dealerships and whatever you say will go in one ear and out the other. So your going to find yourself repeating a lot of what you said. And if you have a wife or daughter, make sure they do not come with you at all. The group of sales guys are the MOST SEXUAL PIGHEADED TYPE OF PEOPLE you will ever meet in your life. And if you by chance happen to do research on any type of car or something the salesmen become upset and got their manager to try to sell you the car. The dealer doesn't honor price quoted numbers for trade in's. Speaking with the general sales manager did nothing to fix the problem, he will keep insisting you are lying.

The car fetcher they have working there isn't the best. He seems to be a little off, and I'm not sure if he has a stomach issue but on many times with getting my car back or a clients car, he has smelled that car up bad. BAD. Like I had to get out of the car and buy some air freshener ASAP!

The mechanics are pretty good, they are just there to work on your car and do their best. You will notice some muddy oil feet prints in your car, but I hear it comes out with spit shin! Not to mention the smell of smoke in your car since all of them mostly smoke or chew tobacco. Their service manager will "do his best" to help you resolve a problem, but all he seems to do is run to the owner and they will come back telling you "There is nothing you can do for you" or the best answer "We can take about 50 dollars off the bill" which leaves you with a smelly car, dirty foot prints and parts you probably didn't want on your car as well.

The detail group they have working in the back is run by an angry person named Pedro, who believes it is his way or no way at all. He has already ruined about 5 tint jobs by either not using the right percent or by cutting the tint to short. He also believes a good polish involves shimmy clothes with particles on them to scratch your car. STAY AWAY FROM USING DIAMOND AUTO DETAIL. Not good at all!

The body shop is great, at least they know what the heck they are doing for your car. It will take you about 2 months to get your car back because they don't always seem to think that your car is high priority to them unless you give them a little extra or your best friends with the owner. Not to mention the dust they leave in your car and the paint looking foot prints again in your car.

Parts is great, usually don't have what you want but will work hard to get you what you need. At times the parts countermen Ed will start talking to you for about 10 mins about nothing or about an old car he once had, fun kinda old guy who I think just wants to tell his story. But, parts has an idea what is going on with things. Not a lot, but some. You may only wait 4 weeks for a small little part that is coming from Portland because they are too lazy to call you and inform you that your part has arrived.

"We just work harder for you".. No, they work hard at scamming you. Maybe its because of the small town dealership, but honestly if you need a good dealership stay away from this place! Take the extra time to drive further out to find a better dealership that wont hold you over the barrel for a car. Not a good place at all and not good people at all!

mike Nnd

I have dealt with Newberg Ford for 6 years, bringing my whole fleet of 52 vehicles in at one time or another for service. Professional, courteous are two words I would use to descibe the staff, and they always treat me fair.

Not sure where this man is comming from...I work for Newberg Ford and know the lady in finance he is referring to as his sister...She is still employed here and appears to be happy. Maybe you need to check your facts or just stop lying.

:) Wow, this is sure different from what I experienced. I got a very nice truck, for a good price, from really nikce people.

Nobody is perfect, but I think Brad97217 is off his rocker, and his comments should be treated accordingly. Thank you Newberg Ford for helping me when others could or would not.

I have been in marketing/sales for over 15 years and it is a rare find when the company actually delivers on its slogan. Newberg Ford is a refreshing surprise in that they actually do “Just Work Harder” and smile while they do it.

Our needs came first and finding the right vehicle with all that entails was no trouble. Dale Sykes is not your typical salesman, he works hard and makes no apologies for it (you cant help but notice that is his standard operating procedure.) One might expect sour faces and complaints with all of the test drives and decision mulling we put Steve Clay through on a 90 degree plus day but he stayed cool as a cucumber the entire time sharing his knowledge and expertise of the different makes and models. What can I say, they actually put our best interest at heart and made sure we walked away completely satisfied with price, selection and service.

Carol explained every detail of the paperwork, everyone needed to complete the sale (even the detail person) stayed late just to help us get out the door with the perfect truck we wanted to take home. WE ABSOLUTELY HAD A GREAT EXPIERENCE!!!
